Adam Burch was born to fly, and gifted with a supreme artistic ability. He was simultaneously an engineer and a dreamer, a pilot and a poet. As an artist his medium was digital, yet much of his work had an ephemeral, atmospheric, almost painterly quality. As a human being he was inventive, irreverent, generous, dedicated, and driven. He was my little brother and my closest friend. In 2024, just before his forty-second birthday, his life was tragically and unexpectedly cut short.

This website and the associated book are my attempt to preserve Adam’s incredible legacy as an aviation artist, and to allow visitors to experience his singular talent. Every image in this collection was his creation, and I’d like to think he would be happy to see it all presented together. I hope this will provide a reminder of Adam’s enduring memory, and a record of his vision of the magic of flight.
